WORKING WITH A REALTOR
Putting the Power in hands of the buyer
The Internet is a fabulous tool for finding
Real Estate. As a buyer, you can access the
national Real Estate website www.mls.ca or
www.HomesAcrossCanada.Com and search almost
any community in Canada for Real Estate that
may interest you. Resources that previously
were for the use of Realtors only, are now
made freely available to the public.
There are resource sites like
www.GrandePrairieRealEstate.Com and
www.CMHC.ca that can provide you with
numerous forms and articles to help you
learn the basics. It's even possible to
apply for your new mortgage online.
Wide but Shallow
The Internet will give you access to a vast
sea of information about real estate, but it
can't provide everything. Information is not
a substitute for knowledge - real time
advice, experience, the human touch and in
depth analysis of the local market. It
cannot provide you with the answers to
questions that if left unanswered could at
worst cost you thousands of dollars.
Questions regarding location, subdivision
desirability, resale and builder reputation
are just a few that the 'Net can't answer
for you. In fact, when your search for real
estate has narrowed to just a few houses in
one local market, the Internet won't be able
to help you much at all.
When you need to know things like sales
statistics, market trends, area crime rates,
flooding, sewer problems and knowledge of
the characteristics of the local real estate
market it is important to have a team of
trusted professionals looking after your
interests. Please feel free to view and
peruse all of the resources on our web site.
When you've learned as much as you can and
are ready to get serious about looking for
your new home, call us. We are here and
ready to assist you.
